CHARTrunner is a software application for creating, displaying, and publishing statistical process control charts (SPC charts), quality charts, and histograms. The charts may use data from a wide variety of sources including Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, SQL Server, Oracle, text files, OLE DB (ADO) drivers, and ODBC drivers.
The CHARTrunner Software Developer's Kit contains documentation and sample code that demonstrate how to automate CHARTrunner and integrate it with other systems and applications. The CHARTrunner SPC chart engine provides you with a powerful system integration solution for your quality control charting needs.
The CHARTrunner ActiveX components can be used from within your own program to:
Sample code is provided for the following programming environments:
Two HTML documents are supplied to help you use the Software Developer's Kit. The Programmer's Guide provides an overview of programming using the CHARTrunner ActiveX components. Click here for the most recent version on the web. The Reference Manual provides information about the various objects, properties and methods exposed by the CHARTrunner ActiveX components. Anyone may download the CHARTrunner Software Developer's Kit. To use the example code or create your own program will require that CHARTrunner is installed on the PC you plan to use. If you don't already have CHARTrunner, you can download and evaluate it without charge.
If you experience any errors when you open or run one of the sample Visual Basic projects then please ensure that the project is configured to use the proper References and Components. Refer to the README_First.txt file in the "Visual Basic" folder for more details.

The "OOC Summary" sample project has been added under the "Visual Basic" folder. Using this project you can open a CHARTrunner Workspace and evaluate each control chart in the Workspace for Out-of-Control (OOC) conditions. The control charts are ranked in the grid so that those with the most OOC conditions appear at the top. For each chart you can right-click to get a text summary of the OOC conditions or to display the chart. This allows you to zero in on those charts that are experiencing problems.
Four new examples have been added to the
ChRunExamples.vbp Visual Basic project:
1. Attribute out-of-control testing.
2. Modify each chart in a workspace.
3. Chart via VB code using ADO recordset.
4. Chart using external DAO recordset.
