Welcome to the CHARTrunner-e tour. You may find it helpful to print this page before proceeding so that you can refer to these instructions while browsing through the CHARTrunner-e tour.
CHARTrunner-e is a web server application that allows you to publish charts that have been defined using CHARTrunner (Desktop) for viewing by anyone having an internet browser and access to the CHARTrunner-e web server.
When a CHARTrunner-e chart is displayed, the CHARTrunner-e server fetches the current data for the chart, creates an image of the chart, and sends the image to your browser where the chart is displayed. Thus, the chart always reflects the current state of the process the chart is monitoring. You can even set up a chart to automatically refresh itself in the browser window periodically.
CHARTrunner-e has two types of users: viewers and administrators. Anyone with a web browser and the correct login and password can view CHARTrunner-e charts.
The guest1 user has view-only rights to a specified set of chart folders.
Login: guest1
Password: guest1
Different sets of chart folders can be set up for various plants, customers, or internal teams. To view a second set of chart folders containing different charts use the guest2 login:
Login: guest2
Password: guest2
To try out the CHARTrunner-e demo website and view the charts that have been published there, click CHARTrunner-e Demonstration Site.
A CHARTrunner-e administrator has the ability to manage charts, chart folders, and users. Click here to open a new browser window and experience a simulation of using CHARTrunner-e while logged in as a user with Super Administrator privileges. You will see how to add, edit, and delete charts, chart folders, and users.
