GP: Maintenance events grayed out

Revision Date: 2005-08-10

Problem:

After converting to GAGEpack 6.5 with user login turned on, none of the users including the SUPERVISOR have the Maintenance option.

Solution:

Maintenance was just added in the recent version and if customers used security and imported users from a prior version their users didn’t have a place to handle the maintenance portion.

1) Create new database and close

2) Open the database that needs to be fixed

3) Then go File -> Utilities -> Import GAGEpack Objects

4) Browse to the new database that you created

5) Change “What to import”’ dropdown to ‘Users’

6) Change “How to manage duplicates” dropdown to ‘Overwrite the existing items’

6) Click Import

The newly imported Supervisor user will have rights to the Maintenance Events and with allow to add rights to the other users.
