"If only I’d realized that I had that feature!" is a frequent cry of software customers who purchase programs and later attend training seminars about the software.
Plunging in and using the options and features that they need right away is the most common approach that customers take. When they go through the software features in a systematic way, they often discover many other applications for their new program. Training seminars offer this opportunity.
Defining default charts is one of those sometimes-overlooked features of SQCpack. Defaults are what the program uses whenever a new chart is created. |

Default settings can be changed by a user, thereby eliminating time invested in editing charts later so they conform to a certain look or have certain labels. You may always want the group name and characteristic name on the top title, for example, and in order to make this happen, you find yourself editing the chart after it has been created. By setting defaults first, each chart will be created with the details you wish—think of the time you’ll save in the editing process (maybe you can slip in a few minutes with Quality Gamebox or other learning opportunities!).
To set up a default histogram, for example, click on Setup, Default Histogram. The rest will be clear. Remember that these defaults will affect only new charts created after they have been set up (it will not modify existing charts). |
