Problem:
Several customers have asked the question “why is Cpk not shown on my histogram even though I have the checkbox for Cpk checked?”
Solution:
To calculate Cpk or Ppk, SQCpack must know about specifications. These are also known as tolerances. Specifications may be set on the histogram definition form. Additionally, when you define or modify characteristics in a group, you may enter specifications on the characteristic definition form. If you try to save a histogram asking for Cpk or Ppk when there are no specifications, SQCpack gives you are warning but will allow you to proceed. Many customers turn off this warning by un-checking the “Enable warnings” checkbox under Setup/Preferences/Misc.
If Cpk is not displayed on your histogram, make sure you have entered specifications either on the histogram definition form or on the characteristic definition form.
