Design experiments, predict outcomes with new DOEpack 2000

Our newest software release supports increasing attention to elements of design and product planning now required for compliance to ISO:9000:2000 and other standards. DOEpack 2000, an easy-to-use 32-bit Windows-based design of experiments program, builds on an earlier version of DOEpack, but offers new features that give collaborative support to compliance efforts as well as Six Sigma requirements.

Performing and analyzing experiments is no longer difficult, says PQ Systems software development manager Steve Daum. “You don't need to be a black belt to use DOEpack 2000,” he adds. Easy-to-use setup Wizards, helpful on-line cue cards, an intuitive user interface, and other features support quick learning and immediate application. A DOE machine that runs practice experiments or supports training purposes is offered free, and technical support is provided at no charge for a full year through PQ Systems' toll-free hotline.

Data analysis tools that DOEpack 2000  offers include regression analysis, analysis of means (ANOM), analysis of variance (ANOVA), contour plots, effects plots, pairwise comparison, scree plots, residuals analysis, and others. Customers can choose from a wide variety of designs, from Latin square to full and fractional factorialÑor they can design their own.

New features include DOEpack's  32-bit format and its step-by-step approach to problem solving in experimental design studies. Charts are interactive in DOEpack 2000, allowing the user to garner information about any data point by simply clicking on that point. Charts that are created by the software can be saved in a variety of formats, and with the program's Multichart feature, can be collected on a single page to summarize all attributes of a design.
