CHARTrunner works with your data to simplify SPC analysisYour chart life just got easier.CHARTrunner, a stand-alone charting tool for general SPC charting, is a way to create charts from data sources and streamline the process of statistical analysis. CHARTrunner charts data that is stored and managed by other programs. CHARTrunner offers customers a smooth interface from their own data systems to statistical charts, including control charts, histograms, and Pareto charts. Built for the 32-bit Windows platform, CHARTrunner can create charts from data residing in Access 97, Excel 97, SQL Server, and many other data sources. Users can save charts as JPG files--a feature that will be found in future versions of SQCpack for Windows as well. This capability makes it easy to transfer charts to Web pages. In CHARTrunner, customers will have the ability to scroll and pan charts back and forth across their data, and to select a range of data within a chart. This is accomplished by dragging the mouse and then carrying out operations with that data (computing limits, for example). Steve Daum, software development manager, emphasizes that CHARTrunner is not a substitute for SQCpack. It has no means of data entry, for example, nor of importing data. Instead, it interfaces with existing data management systems. But if you have an existing data source, it will certainly simplify your life by making charting and analysis easier and more direct. And most people will do whatever they can to make this happen. For more information about CHARTrunner, visit http://www.pqsystems.com/chartrunner. |
