Short cycle assessments are the key to success on the mathematics proficiency tests. This training will help teachers develop a plan to ensure that students are successful on standardized tests.
Teachers will learn to:
- Pre-assess level of mastery for each student on each Indicator
- Teach students how to approach Extended Response questions with confidence
- Teach students to format extended written responses to be easily read by the grader
- Familiarize students with vocabulary used in Extended Response questions
- Familiarize students with Standards / Indicators in current grade level
- Help students monitor growth over time in each standard area
- Determine where additional work is generally needed by class in order to meet the standards
